False Alarm
False Alarm
Prototype 0.1
False Alarm is for fans of stealth. You’re a freelance security nut who proves a point by breaking into the buildings he’s meant to protect. This first slice drops you into six office levels.
Controls
- Walk: left stick, A/D
- Run: Left Bumber, Left shift
- Interact: Controller X, (keyboard E)
- Hide: Controller B, (keyboard F)
- Alt Interact/Attack: Controller Y, (keyboard R)
- Pick up/Vault: Controller A, (keyboard SPACE)
Features
- Runs in the browser
- The game is designed for controller and the UI reflects this but keyboard will work
- Hide in the shadows and avoid detection
- Flick switches, knock on doors, rattle photocopiers to lure guards away
- Slip past guards or disable them
Still early
- AI is not fully implemented. When you're spotted it gets rough
- Some temporary art and UI
- No checkpoints or saving yet. If you die you restart the current level
- If it just stops working or you get stuck then refreshing will probably be the only way to fix it. You will restart from the first level
- No settings or options
Feedback
I am especially looking for feedback on how the core gameplay of hiding and sneaking past guards feels. Is it fun? However, all kinds of feedback are greatly appreciated.

nice
Thank you for playing! The video is very helpful! It's shown me a few things I need to improve, such as make it clearer when the player is visible vs hidden. And generally make the legibility of the level clearer.
